Frankie Gavin
Frankie Gavin is world-renowned as a pioneer of Fiddle-Singing. He’s also a founding member of the Irish folk band De Dannan, formed in 1975. As a Guiness Book of World Records Winner for fast fiddling, Frankie’s intricate, ornamented style is something Chattanooga won’t forget.

We’re a community for Traditional Celtic Arts, Culture and Heritage in Chattanooga
Chattanooga Celtic Connection celebrates the living cultures of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the wider Celtic world, and explores their lasting influence on Appalachian culture.
Through music, education and community programming, we create opportunities to experience these traditions as they are practiced today, understand their histories, and consider the ways they have traveled, changed and taken root in Appalachia.

Chattanooga Irish Session is our flagship program. Located at Wanderlinger Brewery every 2nd and 4th Thursday from 5-7 p.m., we welcome listeners and musicians that feel the call of a jig or reel.
Traditional Irish music isn’t just sound, it’s history in motion. It’s the history of song and community through generations. Whether you’re a seasoned player looking for fellow musicians or someone just beginning your journey into the heart of Irish music, this is your place.

Session Location
Wanderlinger is located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga at the Historic Choo Choo. Wanderlinger offers a variety of unique on-tap brews as well as a full menu. Session members are offered a drink special of buy one get one for the first round of drinks. After that, drinks are regular price.
